BeHealthyForLife.org exists to feature unique, human-written articles regarding health and wellness.
This platform was initially created in 2018 to share important research and information with consumers, patients, and their physicians.
At the time, our mission was to make sure we provided a platform where our readers could keep up-to-date with the extant evidence regarding “alternative” medicine modalities, including simple healthy lifestyle changes that an ordinary person can make.
As of 2025, we no longer really talk about “alternative medicine,” instead referring to the same types of health care as “complementary medicine” or “complementary modalities.”
There’s a distinct reason for this: It’s how things have changed in our society.
Massage has now gone mainstream, and Therapeutic Massage is now accepted as a treatment by all health insurance providers (just not the majority of their plans!), and so there’s very little that’s quite “alternative” about Therapeutic Massage, or other well-studied complementary modalities, at this point.
However, we’re still dedicated to bringing the scientific facts and study results regarding human health to our readers. We also value medical perspective pieces and medical ethics-related editorials.
And, we are also interested in more general sorts of pieces about health and wellness, and health research studies.
We also believe it is important for physicians, nurses, and specialists to keep informed with unbiased third-party information, against which they can compare the information they are receiving from the pharmaceutical companies, the FDA, and regulatory bodies such as the ACOG and WHO.
Listen. If you dig deep enough, you will find differing ideas on medical topics, from A to Z.
Any Nurse Practitioner worth her salt will know there are studies for, and against, everything.
That’s what is important about knowing how to deal with information.
As a Health Care Provider, you need to know how to sift through the data.
All of our articles are written in plain language that is easy for everyone to understand, and includes reference links throughout the articles.
Please enjoy reading the articles and finding out about the research here, which is updated regularly, and can help you to become a better-informed patient, and a more effective caregiver or healthcare professional. We appreciate your visit, and this site was made for you, whatever your role may be.
